How to make dual boot compatible custom rom

This post deals bout how you can build your own dual boot compatible secondary custom rom from other custom rom.
First thing you will need is the main rom file which you want to make your secondary rom while dual booting. For example, im gonna take cm 11 rom. So, the main thing ill need is cm11 rom. Download the zip filed rom and extract it on you pc. You will have the following:

• META-INF
• SYSTEM
• Boot.img

Delete META-INF and Boot.img file.

Download dual boot compatible META-INF file  from the download section and place it on folder where you deleted before. The point is to delete the stock meta-inf file and replace it with dual boot compatible meta-inf file.

After that, head to the SYSTEM folder and locate a folder named APP inside. Cut and Paste it on the home/ parent folder. You will have the following after doing so:

• Meta-INF ( dual boot compatible )
• App
• System

Select the three folders and compress them to zip. Rename the zip file as dual boot cm11 rom and copy it to the phone.

Thats it. There you have your dual boot compatible custom rom. Im just taking example of cm11 to illustrate. You can use other roms as well. The process is the same.

Now after you build your secondary rom, the next step is to download the gapps and place them in same folder in phone, so that you can flash both easily.
